Olive Oil Bread Dip

Remember that French bread recipe I posted last week? This is my favorite thing to eat it with! It takes almost no time to make and the hardest part is just mincing the garlic! I hope you enjoy this as much as my family and I do!

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp toasted garlic
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • ½ Tbsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp parmesan cheese
  • olive oil
  • French bread

Instructions

  • To toast the garlic, mince 1 tablespoon of garlic, add to a pan with olive oil, toast on medium heat until the garlic has been browned.
  • Add garlic plus parmesan cheese to all the remaining seasonings in a bowl.
  • To serve, place a tablespoon of the seasoning mixture on a plate. Add your desired amount of olive oil to your plate and combine the two together. Serve by dipping French bread into the mixture.

Notes

Pair: pairs well with any fresh bread, my easy French bread recipe has been my family and friend’s favorite recipe to eat this with.
Seasoning: by trial and error, this has been my favorite seasoning combination but if you would like to try adding more or different flavors to this, add fresh basil or rosemary, you could also add some balsamic vinaigrette, I occasionally add a few drops of lemon juice and it gives it a nice fresh flavor.
