Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce

 This has been my all time favorite fudge sauce, it is perfect for topping anything with, from fruit to ice cream to baked goodies. 

Hot Fudge Sauce

Servings 1.25 cups of sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 2 ½ Tbsp cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ c sugar
  • 5 oz. can evaporated milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a pot over medium heat.
  • Add the cocoa powder and salt to the butter and stir together.
  • Add the sugar and stir again.
  • Pour the evaporated milk into the pan and bring everything to a boil while constantly whisking the sauce.
  • Once the sauce starts boiling. Continue stirring on a low boil for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add vanilla into the mixture. Stir together and let thicken.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

Use this for ice cream, baked goods, and fruits
This is the fudge recipe I use to top my mini chocolate bundt cakes.
Store the leftover fudge in the fridge.
