Spaghetti Sauce for Two
A dish that is comforting as well as satisfying. Enjoy this easy-to-follow recipe that takes little time in the kitchen.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp butter any oil will work
- 1/2 small white onion diced
- 1/4 red bell pepper diced
- 1 1/2 tsp italian seasoning
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 14.5 oz. can diced tomato no salt added
- 1 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon powder
- 1/4-1/2 c water
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 4-6 oz. cooked spaghetti or pasta of your choice
Instructions
- On low to medium heat, melt butter in saucepan.
- Add onion and red bell pepper. Cook until tender.
- Add in the Italian seasoning and garlic. Cook until tender and fragrant. About 1 minute.
- Combine the diced tomatoes and tomato paste with the ingredients in the sauce pan, stirring occasionally.
- After 5 minutes have passed. Place the ingredients along with the chicken bouillon and water into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Transfer back into the saucepan. Add in cooked ground beef.
- Add more water as needed if sauce is too thick.
- Mix in your choice of noodles or serve on top. Enjoy!
